Just can not believe Microsoft, what was wrong with XP or even Windows 7. I can't save the group which i send to myself and neither can i create a new one... Groups which are created on the Outlook.com website will become Categories in Outlook 2013. There is a link in the "Contact Group" window called "How do I use contact groups?" that should provide more info. Instead select MAIL (bottom left in outlook)....next....at the top left select NEW ITEMS....then selectMORE ITEMS....then select CONTACT GROUP....then give the group a name. It shows up in the contacts module just as the original contacts list and suggested contacts list does. Login or register to post comments joncr on Aug 11, 2015 Thanks. Easy fix? In Outlook 2010/2013 you can hit Reply to All then copy the addresses from the To and CC fields and paste into the members field of a Contact Group form (DL).

Also opening Options on the Address Book leads to grayed out windows so no choices can be made.

As an alternative, you can also create groups in an Outlook pst-file but these groups of course won't sync with Outlook.com at all. Guys, you all have to fix this. Now to test....select NEW EMAIL and start typing the name of the "group" you just created.....it should auto populate the "group" name....and there you have it.
