Windows 7 - Fresh Install BSOD Whilst Applying Windows Updates

As all the forums are advising to remove these updates (even if they're not causing problems), I figured I should remove them. I'll go with Linux instead. Unfortunately I am on a business trip and do not have the startup disc with me. But those updates aren't written/created in a day; it takes weeks to identify problems in a system and to create a code (the update) which will repair problems and flaws in God ahead with your great job !!!
