Dell sucks.. Reply Sheryl April 7, 2016 at 2:22 pm I looked at all of these "fixes" and tried everything but I didn't even have the apps that supposedly cause the flashing and I could change my background picture, but I cannot use right click on the background. I can't seem to figure it out..
After some massaging (hitting random keys, switching on and off, etc) all is OK Appreciate your comment and help. I'm still in counseling.. ? Problems with a screen saver and other glitches in W10 made me reason I'd better install the update. So, ok, obviously this isn't a hardware issue as I can can see everything (even adjust the resolution to the highest settings) in VGA mode.
My battery looks OKish. Then troubleshoot the system from then on if the problem exists. Hope this solution will work for other people. is somewhere stored on the computer.
Can you help Reply Caleb Christensen May 16, 2016 @ 4:04 am Try starting your windows on Safe Mode, you can do this by holding using Ctrl+Alt+Del, click the power button Ctrl-alt-delete does not work. See if you can now get to your desktop. I cannot do con-alt-del either.
Updated from 8.1 to 10… got through the update to the desktop and now it won't stop flashing. ctrl+alt+del will allow me go to the regular screen which I could go to the task manager, switch user, lock the pc, signoff, change pass word, and reboot or restart etc. As mentioned just remove it via Device manager. That was the first thing I tried when it happened.
I have a constant flickering screen and when I press ctrl-alt-delete the screen does go to let me pick the task manager option but then it goes back to the flickering So no crashes or anything, just no display output.
