I have tried to run every card individually in every pci slot just to make sure that I don't have bad cards, slots or mb. Though when I was mining the card reached 82 C without my knowledge, I should probably set a lower target temp in cgminer. I would try running the 290 by itself without the Nvidia card to see how that goes. Do you have the BSoD when you try to run the Windows Performance Benchmark? The card stayed at 71 C with 99% load, that isn't too hot right?
